Kassam rockets were fired from northern Gaza at communities in the western Negev. Two residents were wounded by shrapnel in the southern town of Sderot when a rocket fell in the courtyard of an apartment building, damaging the complex as well. The wounded were taken to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon. A total of three rockets struck Sderot by 8:00 a.m, Monday.



Shortly thereafter, two Kassam rockets also landed in Ashkelon's industrial zone. No injuries or damage were reported.



In another rocket attack from Gaza on the southern front, a Negev kibbutz was struck, sustaining significant damage to its dairy facility, as well as another kibbutz building and several cars. No injuries were reported.



One soldier was reported injured in fighting in northern Gaza.



In the north, residents of Haifa were in their shelters by 6:00 a.m., but actual rocket attacks were reported. The situation was similar in Tiberias, where air raid sirens sounded at approximately 7:00 a.m. Residents ran for their shelters and remained there while security forces searched for rocket landing site. None were reported.



Nonetheless, residents of Haifa and surrounding areas were told to remain near shelters and "secure rooms" for the time being. In Akko, a rocket attack left four people injured.



Before 9 a.m., a barrage of Katyusha rockets slammed into Tzfat and other Galilee communities. No injuries were reported in Tzfat. Katyushas rained down on Kiryat Shemonah shortly thereafter. No report of injuries or damage as yet.



Overnight, Katyushas struck Afula, Upper Nazareth, Migdal Ha'Emek and Givat Ela, locations some 50 kilometers from the northern border. No injuries were reported.
