Minister of National Infrastructures Avigdor Lieberman was indicted in the Jerusalem Magistrates Court yesterday. He was charged with striking and threatening youths in his Gush Etzion community of El David (Nokdim), in December 1999. The Knesset Committee recently lifted Lieberman\'s parliamentary immunity, with his agreement, permitting him to be tried. Lieberman stated the indictment is yet another example of the political witch hunt against him, and expressed confidence that his innocence would be established as was the case in previous suits filed against him. Lieberman and his colleague in the National Union-Yisrael Beiteinu party, Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze\'evi, are considered the two most right-wing members of the government.
