The conference, being held at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Center in Jerusalem, began on Monday night, and will end Thursday evening. The program includes lectures, discussion groups and 89 educational workshops dealing with various approaches to Holocaust education.



The conference opened with a meeting of the Association of Holocaust Organizations discussing the topic of "Teaching the Holocaust in Light of Contemporary Antisemitism." Among the presenters were:



* Dr. Wolf Kaiser, Director of Education at the Wannsee House in Germany;

* Christer Mattsson, of the Living History Forum in Sweden;

* Ronaldas Racinskas, Director of the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes Of the Nazi and Soviet Regimes in Lithuania;

* Otto Ruehl, of the Department for Holocaust and Genocide Studies in Denmark's Institute for International Studies;

* and Mark Weitzman, Director of the Task Force Against Hate in the Simon Wiesenthal Center, United States.
