(Oct.2 – 23:50) Two Israeli civilians were murdered and fifteen wounded in a terrorist attack in the Gaza community of Elei Sinai on Tuesday night.



Three terrorists have been killed there. IDF soldiers shot and killed two terrorists at approximately 11:00 PM, in addition to a third terrorist who was eliminated earlier in the evening. The two were standing outside the house that they had taken over, when IDF snipers killed them. The IDF has spotted another terrorist alive inside of the same house. Soldiers are surrounding the house at this time. The army continues its search of all houses in the area one at a time to verify that no additional Arab terrorists remain. The IDF has called upon the residents in the community to stay indoors and continue the full blackout.



The incident began at about 7:30 PM, when three Arab terrorists penetrated the township of Elei Sinai, ten kilometers south of Ashkelon. They opened fire and threw grenades in all directions killing a female resident and her friend from Ashkelon.



IDF Chief of Staff Shaul Mofaz and the Southern Region Commander are in command of the operation.



Fourteen of the wounded were transported by ambulances to Barzalai Hospital in Ashkelon. One of the victims is being flown by helicopter to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Dr. Shimon Sherf told Arutz Sheva that two Jewish children, aged 4 and 5 years old, are being treated for shrapnel wounds.



In the nearby community of Dugit, terrorists opened fire at an IDF position wounding three soldiers. Two of the soldiers are being transported to Barzalai Hospital by ambulance. The third is being flown by helicopter to Soroka.



Soldiers in southern Gaza near N’vei Dekalim are under attack with heavy terrorist gunfire at this time.
