Jerusalem Day commemorates the Liberation of Jerusalem from Arab control in the 1967 Six Day War.

The event began at a Jerusalem park where masses of youth gathered, and then danced their way through the streets of Jerusalem to the Kotel (Western Wall) in the Old City. Live stream coverage, in Hebrew, will continue on the Arutz-7 INN-TV website until midnight.

The broadcasts is scheduled to end at midnight, Israel time.

Security personnel are out in force to ensure that the evening is peaceful and joyous without fear of terrorist interference.

When the event winds down at 10:00 pm, live stream coverage will continue from the Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva in Jerusalem, where Hebrew speeches will be delivered by leading Rabbinical and political personalities.

The dancing and speeches from prominent rabbis and other community leaders at the Yeshiva will pack the rest of the evening with light and song as the anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem draws to a close.
