Livni is also expected to meet with Palestinian President Abu Mazen and Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit as well as with American Deputy

Secretary of State Robert Zelick. Diplomatic sources predict that the meetings will not be devoted to diplomatic negotiations but rather will be an attempt at establishing a dialogue to discuss possibilities for collaborative economic efforts and to join forces in dealing with humanitarian issues.



Shimon Peres is scheduled to take part in a three way meeting between Peres, Abu Mazen and a Jordanian government representative to discuss joint economic venues in the Middle East. "We will remain apart from the diplomatic conflict regarding borders. There is no reason that even though there are no set borders there should be no joint economic activity like there is in Europe, "Peres stated.



Minister of Finance Avraham Hirchson also plans to meet with regional economic leaders including Egyptian and Jordanian officials and Tourism Minister Yitzchak Herzog is slated to meet with ministers from surrounding Middle-East countries including Qatar and Kuwait to discuss tourism development in the area.
