At least five Kassam rockets were launched from Gaza towards the western Negev Friday. Four landed in open areas near communities and one landed in the sea. There were no reports of injuries and the IDF returned artillery fire toward the launch sites.
Arabs opened fire at soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism efforts in Jenin and in the Askar area of Shechem overnight Thursday. No injuries were reported in the attacks.

Authorities arrested five Arabs northeast of Bethlehem, at Kiosk Junction, Friday. Found in their possession were an ax and a 14-inch knife. The suspects were turned over to authorities for interrogation.
Three armed Arabs were wounded on Friday morning in a shootout with IDF soldiers operating in the Balata area of Shechem.
A couple emerged uninjured from an attempted stabbing attack at the Tomb of Elijah in Haifa on Thursday. The suspect, an Arab male from the village of Tamrah is in custody.
