The \"ceasefire\" ordered by Yasser Arafat on Friday limped violently along over the weekend. Palestinians fired this morning at an IDF outpost on Mt. Eval (outside Shechem), near Ramallah, and near Beit Jala. Yesterday, terrorists shot at Jewish homes in Hevron and Ariel, as well as at Israeli forces near Atarot and Bethlehem. A Lebanon-style roadside bomb exploded harmlessly on the southern Shechem bypass road. Three mortars were fired at Kfar Darom in Gush Katif yesterday, one of which landed 20 meters from a campfire gathering of neighborhood youth; no one was hurt. In response, Israeli tanks entered Area A in Dir el-Balach, but withdrew shortly afterwards.



The Nokdim-Tekoa road, where Palestinian terrorists murdered 25-year-old mother of three Sarit Amrani this past Thursday morning, was re-opened to Arab traffic this morning. Jewish residents attempted to block the road in protest.
