(IsraelNN.com) Addressing recent statements by newly-elected Labor Party leader Amir Peretz, who promises to increase the national minimum wage, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon told reporters today that trying to do so is “unrealistic”.
Sharon stated that Peretz’s promise to increase the minimum monthly wage to $1,000 is not something realistic. Such a move, he explained, must be implemented gradually and cannot be absorbed by the economy in one move.
