The Yashar party responded to the 67 Knesset members who recommended Gadi Eisenkot to form the next government, calling on President Isaac Herzog to give him the mandate as soon as possible. The party claimed that this was the highest number of recommendations received by a candidate since 2015.
"Benjamin Netanyahu is a caretaker prime minister with the support of a minority of just 46 Knesset members," the party stated.
Yashar called for the formation of a national emergency government and warned that missing the opportunity could lead to another round of elections.
