(IsraelNN.com) The Christian Allies Caucus of the Knesset has been working closely with Christian Zionist organizations on this Sunday's International Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. A massive rally will take place in Jerusalem marking the Day of Prayer, with the participation of thousands of Christians from around the world. Representatives of the Knesset and government of Israel will also attend. The event will be held at the Wohl Rose Garden, October 3 at 2:00pm.
Among the attendees will be Evangelical leaders Pat Robertson, Robert Stearns and Mike Evans, as well as Ministers Natan Sharansky and Gideon Ezra, Knesset Members Yuri Shtern (National Union) and Gilad Erdan (Likud), and other Christian leaders and Israeli government officials. Attendees of the International Christian Embassy's annual Feast of the Tabernacles will swell the ranks of the prayer rally.
"It is fitting that Jerusalem be the focal point of the tens of thousands of events world-wide that will be taking place to celebrate this year's Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. In the nine months since its formation, the Christian Allies Caucus has made great strides in mustering and consolidating world Christian support for Israel, and making Jerusalem the center for the evolution and conduct of Christian-Jewish relations in the 21st Century," said Chairman Yuri Shtern.
Robert Stearns, one of the founders and a driving force behind the international Day of Prayer, said, "The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem marks an historic coming together of the Jewish and Christian communities around the importance of God's eternal covenant concerning Zion and Jerusalem."
Following the event at the Wohl Rose Garden, approximately one hundred invited guests will attend a meeting of the Christian Allies Caucus scheduled for 4:00pm at the Crown Plaza Hotel. The Caucus meeting will be followed by a reception to honor members of the Christian Allies Caucus and Caucus meeting guests.
