Attorney General issues unusual statement: No one will be investigated without evidence

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara clarified that citizens and elected officials cannot be investigated without evidence justifying such an investigation.

"If the Shin Bet or any other body possesses evidence warranting an investigation, it is welcome to present it. Anyone who needs to be investigated will be investigated," a statement issued on her behalf said.

The statement also alleged that the Shin Bet has failed for two days to transfer the evidence it collected to the special investigative team established on the recommendation of Justice Sohlberg, in cooperation with the police and under the supervision of the State Attorney's Office, thereby delaying the investigation.
