The “Tzeva Shachor" alert system sent voice messages to thousands of haredi residents in Arad overnight, warning that authorities were attempting to arrest a haredi draft evader in the city.
Hundreds of Gerrer Hasidim rushed to the scene in response, but it later emerged that no arrest attempt had taken place.
