Police and prosecutors had planned to inform the Supreme Court on Thursday that the criminal investigation into the Mount Meron disaster would be reopened. However, the police legal adviser requested a one-month delay in submitting the notification, according to a report in Haaretz.
According to the report, the legal adviser, who is close to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, justified the request by citing the need to clarify certain matters with Police Commissioner Dani Levy.
