National Security Minister and Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara following her request to postpone state memorial events for Rabbi Ovadia Yosef until after the elections.
“The adversarial legal counsel has once again crossed every line. Even when it comes to the memory and legacy of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, of blessed memory, they seek to undermine them. After the elections, Otzma Yehudit will demand a full-scale judicial reform. It is time to restore governance to elected officials and return the judicial system to its proper place. Now everyone understands how wrong they were not to listen to me at the beginning of the term when I demanded that the delinquent Attorney General be fired," Ben Gvir said.
