A suspect in a car theft from the Katamon neighborhood in Jerusalem was killed after fleeing the police, driving against traffic and colliding with a pillar and a private vehicle at the A-Tur junction.
According to the police, during the chase the officers fired at the vehicle's wheels in an attempt to stop it. A policeman and a civilian were lightly injured. The suspect was evacuated to the hospital in critical condition while undergoing resuscitation but was later pronounced dead.
