Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich was instructed on Thursday afternoon to remain inside the building where he was holding a meeting in central Israel after the Unit for the Protection of Public Figures identified a suspect who was considered a potential security threat.
The suspect was quickly apprehended by the Israel Police, and it was subsequently determined that he was an illegal entrant.
