US President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet this coming Wednesday with top Pentagon officials and executives from major American defense contractors to discuss ways to dramatically accelerate the production and procurement of munitions and combat systems.
The meeting, previously postponed due to developments in the military campaign against Iran, is moving forward with the goal of rapidly replenishing and refilling US national weapons stockpiles and inventories that were depleted during the conflict.
