The Wall Street Journal reports that several of US President Donald Trump’s senior aides were surprised by his announcement earlier this week that a “great deal that will bring peace and security to the entire region" had been finalized.
According to the report, which cites people familiar with the matter, those aides believed that the details of the agreement with Iran were still under discussion and that it was too early to publicly announce the deal.
