As part of the nationwide "Safe Road" enforcement operation conducted by the Israel Police against life-threatening traffic offenses, a motorcyclist was arrested overnight after being recorded traveling at the exceptionally high and dangerous speed of 285 km/h (177 mph).
The arrest was made following a targeted police pursuit, which ended with the suspect's arrest. The suspect, a 24-year-old resident of Arraba, was taken in for questioning and was subsequently remanded in custody.
