Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, discussed ongoing contacts with the United States in an interview with Al Jazeera, asserting: "At this stage, we have no negotiations whatsoever with the US regarding the nuclear issue. If there is progress and the US demonstrates good intentions, then we can discuss other matters - enrichment is non-negotiable. This technology has cost us dearly, and we will not give it up."
He further threatened: "We are at the highest level of military and defensive readiness, prepared for any scenario. We in Tehran believe that America has no choice but to surrender and accept - either through diplomacy, or in the face of our missiles. We are stronger than we were a month ago. We are in a position of strength, and the US is in a position of weakness."
