Police opened fire at the wheels of a vehicle stolen from central Israel after the driver refused to stop, broke through a police checkpoint, and hit a police car on his way toward Palestinian Authority-assigned areas of Judea and Samaria.
After breaking through the checkpoint, the vehicle accelerated toward IDF forces, who felt their lives were in danger and responded with gunfire. The police stated that the suspect received medical treatment and that an investigation has been opened.
