Police said it has been decided to mitigate the punishment of four Border Police officers who were sentenced to imprisonment for lighting a barbecue on Shabbat on base, in violation of orders.
According to the statement, the officers will be released on Monday after completing seven days of detention and will return to their duties. Police emphasized that the conduct was against regulations and that discipline is a fundamental component of the organization’s operations.
