Ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day 2026, approximately 111,000 Holocaust survivors and victims of antisemitic persecution are still living in Israel.

According to data from the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, 63% of the survivors are women and 37% are men. Many are of very advanced age: about 37% were born during World War II and are now aged 80-85, around 35% are aged 86-89, and the remaining approximately 28% are aged 90 and above.
