The Knesset approved in the second and third readings the furlough frameork for Operation Roaring Lion. According to the framework, an employee who goes on furlough will be eligible to receive unemployment benefits starting from the tenth day of continuous absence from work.
It was also determined that the qualifying period was shortened from 18 months to 6 months, and anyone approved for furlough will receive the payment from the first day.
