The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that its military has uncovered a smuggling tunnel along the Syria-Lebanon border used by Lebanese militia groups, namely Hezbollah.
According to the ministry, this is the second of such tunnels discovered in the past 24 hours as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen border security.
It added that specialized units sealed the tunnel.
