IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir warned during a cabinet meeting that the military is under an exceptional strain and could “collapse into itself."
According to a report by Channel 13 News, Zamir called for the immediate advancement of legislation on conscription, reserve service, and extending mandatory service to contend with the challenges.
