Israel Katz commented on the striking of bridges near the Litani River earlier on Wednesday.
“Following the directive of the prime minister and myself, the Israel Defense Forces struck and destroyed two additional bridges over the Litani River that were used for smuggling weapons and for the movement of Hezbollah operatives southward. This is a direct action against Hezbollah’s use of Lebanese state infrastructure to advance terrorist activity-and also a clear message to the government of Lebanon: the State of Israel will not allow such a reality.
“We will not permit threats to Israeli civilians and will continue to act with force until full security is achieved in the north," Katz said.
