Western officials told Israel's Channel 12 that Iran has already placed more than ten naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz and intends to lay additional mines.
According to the officials, both the entry and exit routes have been blocked in order to apply pressure, while the Iranians have created an alternative corridor where passage is allowed only for vessels they approve.
