The United States has announced that it will close its embassy in Kuwait City, Kuwait, amid Iranian attacks on the Gulf States.
The State Department noted that “while there have been no reported injuries to US personnel, the safety of Americans abroad remains the highest priority of the U.S. Department of State."
This is the second American mission in the Middle East to suspend operations, after Karachi, Pakistan.
