In light of the emergency situation, the Communications Ministry is urging the public to ensure that their mobile phones support 4G technology or higher, in order to receive emergency alerts and life-saving notifications distributed by the Home Front Command and authorized authorities.

The ministry emphasized that older devices which do not support this generation may fail to receive alerts. To check whether a device supports 4G, users can dial *235.

If a device does not support advanced network generations, the ministry recommends upgrading to a 4G-compatible phone, which will ensure improved reception, enhanced call quality, and the ability to receive real-time emergency alerts.
