The IDF Spokesperson announced that the IDF eliminated Ali Khamenei, leader of the Iranian terror regime, in a strike carried out yesterday.
According to the statement, the Israeli Air Force, guided by precise intelligence from Military Intelligence and in cooperation with the Operations Directorate, struck the leadership compound in the heart of Tehran where Khamenei was present along with other senior officials.
Khamenei led the Iranian terror regime since 1989, advancing an extremist ideology against the State of Israel and the West, and was directly responsible for the violent repression of Iranian citizens over many years.
Described as the architect of the plan to destroy the State of Israel and the head of the Iranian “octopus," Khamenei directed terror proxies across the Middle East, chief among them Hezbollah. He was responsible for terror attacks against Israel and for the deaths of numerous civilians worldwide.
The IDF stated that his elimination marks the closing of a historic circle in the campaign against the Iranian terror axis, following a series of strikes against its senior leaders during the war.
