At least three explosions were heard in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, according to AFP journalists stationed in the city.
The explosions took place hours after the Taliban announced it had launched an attack on Pakistani positions along the border between the two countries. According to the report, shortly before the explosions, a fighter jet flew over the city, and gunfire was heard.
