Ashkelon Mayor Tomer Glam is the suspect who was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of stealing millions of shekels in donation funds received by the municipality, it was cleared for publication on Wednesday morning.
Glam was questioned by police and released to five days of house arrest, and was also barred from entering the municipality for seven days. Senior municipal officials and businesspeople were also arrested alongside him.
