Jared Kushner, son-in-law and advisor to US President Donald Trump, congratulated Ali Shaath, chairman of the Palestinian National Committee for the Administration of Gaza. He said, "The hard work is just beginning."
Kushner cited the committee's mission statement, which includes, among other things, a commitment to establishing security, restoring essential services, building an economy, and promoting peace, rights, and Palestinian self-determination.
