Iraqi authorities have arrested Kazem Hamad, a man wanted by the Australian Federal Police on suspicion of involvement in a series of bombings, including an antisemitic attack on a synagogue in Melbourne, local police said.
Hamad, who was previously convicted in Australia on drug trafficking charges, was deported from Australia to Iraq in 2023.
