Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli visited the site of the massacre at the beach in Sydney, Australia.
“It is a very difficult event, and unfortunately not a surprising one, given the hostile atmosphere toward Jews here,” Chikli said in an interview with Kan Reshet Bet. “The government here is hostile toward Israel and did not respond to our calls to address antisemitism. Many incidents occurred without proper treatment or meaningful punishment.”
