Following the terror attack at a Hanukkah event at Bodi Beach in Sydney, Australia, the Israeli National Security Council issued a statement warning: "History has taught us that it is possible that terror supporters will try to carry out copycat attacks, inspired by this event."
The Council called on Israelis abroad to adhere to several precautions, including avoiding unsecured public events, including events at synagogues, Chabad houses, Hanukkah parties, etc.
The NSC also called on Israelis to be vigilant when near Jewish/Israeli locations, and report to the security forces if anything out of the ordinary is detected (a suspicious person or object).
