Opposition Leader Yair Lapid met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and the two discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the countries and the regional opportunities following the end of the fighting in Gaza.
Lapid thanked the Chancellor for Germany’s support for the efforts to return the hostages and for lifting the arms embargo on Israel. During the meeting, Merz invited Lapid for a meeting in Berlin, and Lapid thanked him for the invitation.
