Media affiliated with the Syrian regime reported on Tuesday night that the country’s security forces thwarted an attempt to transfer 1,250 military mines to Hezbollah. According to the reports, four locals suspected of involvement in the smuggling attempt across the Syria-Lebanon border were arrested.
It was further reported that another individual involved in the incident was neutralized during clashes with Syrian security forces.
