The Zionist Executive Committee, the supreme body of the World Zionist Organization, elected today (Sunday, November 23, 2025) Rabbi Doron Peretz as President of the World Zionist Organization, succeeding Tova Dorfman, who is completing her term. Yaakov Haguel was chosen to continue serving as Chairman of the World Zionist Organization until Israeli Independence Day 2028.
The Chairman of the Executive for the second half of the term will come from the liberal bloc and will be elected later. Dr. Yizhar Hess will continue to serve as Vice Chairman and Acting Executive Chairman for the entire term.
