MK Amit Halevi (Likud) said: “How moving these moments are, and how humiliating they are, oh how humiliating they are.”
He stated that the nation should have lowered its head and flag, welcomed the returning brothers with deep emotion, and declared to Hamas and the world that the Jewish people will not forget or forgive until the neo-Nazis in Gaza are destroyed and Israeli control is restored.
Halevi added that Hamas humiliates Israel by returning the hostages as a “victory platter,” while Israeli media coverage plays into its hands. He warned that this disregard is painful and dangerous if Israel clings to illusions about the agreement instead of preparing for the next war Hamas is already planning.
