Iranian State media reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told a cabinet meeting on Sunday that President Masoud Pezeshkian declined Egypt's invitation to attend the Sharm el-Sheikh summit, chaired by Trump, which will discuss a day-after plan for Gaza.
Araghchi added that a subsequent invitation was extended for him to attend the summit instead, state media reported, without giving further details about Araghchi's response.
