Former Ashdod Mayor Aryeh Azoulay passed away at the age of 93. He served as the third mayor of Ashdod from 1983-1989. He also served as a teacher and principal at a high school in the city.
He was involved in the capture of Adolf Eichmann in Argentina. In 2007, he even received a medal of appreciation for his part in the operation.
