Minister of National Security, MK Itamar Ben Gvir, approved the addition of Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Gan Yavne, the Megiddo Regional Council and Tel Mond to the list of localities eligible for a private firearms license.
The decision was made following the work of the Israel Police and the Ministry of National Security, and against the backdrop of the increase in security incidents across the country. Approximately 100,000 additional citizens will now be eligible for a license.
