European powers officially trigger UN sanctions on Iran

France, Germany, and the UK sent a letter to members of the UN Security Council on Thursday morning announcing the triggering of the "snapback" mechanism to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran, Axios reported, citing two European diplomats.
