Five right-wing activists were arrested last night (Saturday night) by police in the Jerusalem area. The detainees are expected to be brought before the court in the coming hours. Attorneys Daniel Shimshilashvili and Adi Kedar from the Honenu legal organization are providing legal counsel to the detainees.
The attorneys from Honenu stated: “Law enforcement authorities continue their witch hunt against the settler public. While other groups that block roads and act violently against public officials are treated with leniency, settlers holding legitimate protests are pursued like common criminals. It is time to break free from this conception.”
