Khamenei adviser Ali Larijani named Iran’s new security chief

Iranian President Pezeshkian names longtime Khamenei adviser Ali Larijani as head of the Supreme National Security Council. The move follows Iran’s 12-day conflict with Israel. Larijani, a former IRGC member, replaces Ali Akbar Ahmadian.
