Opposition leader Yair Lapid is calling for an end to the war and the immediate return of the hostages.
"There has always been one essential condition for Israel’s wars: a majority," Lapid stated. "The State of Israel cannot conduct a war if the majority of the public does not stand behind it, does not believe in its objectives, and does not trust its leadership."
He added, "None of these conditions are currently met. It is time to end the war and bring the hostages home."
