The Saudi Foreign Ministry welcomed France’s intention to recognize a Palestinian state, stating that “this historic decision underscores the international consensus on the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and to establish an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with eastern Jerusalem as its capital.”
Saudi Arabia called on other countries that have not yet recognized a Palestinian state to follow France’s lead, take positive steps, and adopt serious positions that support peace and the rights of the Palestinian people.
